Dealt Rakeback
Dealt Rakeback is the least common,
but most desirable online poker Rakeback deal for many poker players.
It's not that Dealt Rakeback pays such a high amount, but rather the
way it is paid. Players are not required to contribute chips to the
pot to earn Dealt Rakeback, so long as they are dealt cards in the hand.
Yes, you read that correctly. Simply being dealt cards earns you Dealt Rakeback. Even if you fold immediately from under the gun, so long as the hand is raked, there is a profit to be made.
Examples of Dealt Rakeback: Full Tilt Poker, Poker
Heaven
The only drawback from Dealt Rakeback
is that the profits you earn may be smaller than that of other online
poker rakeback deals. It all depends on the total rake taken and the
number of players dealt in the hand.
Dealt Rakeback divides the overall
rake by all players dealt cards in the hand. The sum of this equation
is what your Dealt Rakeback percentage will be taken from. The size
of your table is like a double-edged sword. The more players you have,
the fewer Blinds you will be posting and the higher the pots will potentially
grow. But, the rake is divided by all players, making it smaller and
smaller for each player dealt cards at the table.
How to Calculate Dealt Rakeback
In this section, we'll show you exactly
how Dealt Rakeback is calculated, and the formula to be used. It should
also help to clear up any confusion you may have as to how Dealt Rakeback
works.
We'll use an example of a 6-max poker
table, where you fold out of the hand immediately without contributing
any chips. Two other players fold, and the other three move on. One
Flop, Turn and River later, the pot escalates to $60 before a winner
is declared.
By industry standards, the online poker
rake would be 5% of the pot, capped at $3. So the first thing we need
to do is determine the size of the rake by finding 5% of a $60 pot.
$60 x 0.05 (5%) = $3
The total rake is $3.
The next step is to divide the total
rake, which was $3, by the amount of players dealt into the hand, 6.
$3 / 6 = $0.50
Your Dealt Rakeback will be calculated
and paid based on this median amount of the rake. Since the average
online poker Rakeback deal is 30%, we'll use that in this example. You
will be paid 30% of $0.50...
$0.50 x 0.3 = $0.15
And there you have it - for this
single online poker hand, where you contributed absolutely nothing to
the pot, you would still receive $0.15 in online poker Rakeback.
Who Needs Dealt Rakeback
Every online poker rakeback deal is profitable, but some are more beneficial to certain player types than others. In the case of Dealt Rakeback, it is commonly tight poker players who stand to gain the most from Dealt Rakeback. Since all other online poker Rakeback deals pay only contributing players, and since tight poker players fold their hand more often than not, they can earn a much more consistent and higher rakeback from a Dealt Rakeback deal.
